Help me out of a big mess

When your in debt the last thing you want to do is acknowledge it and deal with it. One phone call with a step change representative and they make everything seem easy and doable. Excellent customer service

From first contact 2 years ago I finally felt in control of my life. Everyone I spoke to was non judgemental, just helped me get sorted. It was and still is a huge relief. Stepchange has taken a huge weight off my shoulders

I had got myself in a real financial pickle, following my husband walking out on me and my one year old. I struggled for several years, becoming withdrawn and depressed. Stepchange made me able to breathe again after suffocating with my debt

I woke up one morning with that dreaded feeling of my phone going off constantly all day AGAIN being hounded by debt collectors. I couldn't cope much longer and felt like I was suffocating with this debt. I couldn't keep up with the payments, my health deteriorated quickly and severely and i couldn't see a way out. My GP recommended i speak to Stepchange and they were amazing , helped me from that very first phone call , set me up on my DMP so I could make affordable payments to creditors. The phone calls from my creditors stopped and now I just make my monthly payment to stepchange who divide it between creditors and I am so much happier and feel like I can breathe again. Anyone struggling with debt needs to deal with Stepchange. Their customer service has always been spot on and always so helpful when you call for advice. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020

Sanctuary and Clarity

From my first correspondence with StepChange which was a call for help, advice, and support with my troubling financial situation, to the regular monthly support and guidance I am receiving now during these made further difficult times during the pandemic, I have felt less and less fearful and snow blind seeking reasonable solutions to my debt crisis. Feeling ever more in control and confident that I will not only achieve my goal of paying back debts to creditors regaining some dignity and normality again, I appreciate being protected from the stress of dealing with multiple creditors at once by the team and their professionalism.
