Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Great charity to help others

I was in financial difficulty and one of my frieds advise me to speak to Step change back in 2011. Their charity name was different then. They guide me through my financials set up payment plan for me to pay so much to clear my debts. Staff are fantastic over the phone.. don't be afraid to ask their help.. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2021

They got me back on track

After I retired I started taking more credit on and got in a mess.My son found out about Stepchange so we applied online for their help and got it.The process was very user friendly and the staff are extremely helpful, As a result in 2 years time I will be debt free thanks to them.
