I would really recommend StepChange if you're struggling financially. They helped me manage my repayment budget and since they are a 'name' that company's recognise businesses seem happy to have them dealing as an intermediary on your behalf which offers some shielding from the stress caused by the negative culture or threats that some companies (Local councils, TV licensing...etc) persist with. It has taken something that was a worry and made it so its manageable and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how big or small your debt is do contact them, they're fantastic! Stressed and embarrassed...

When my wife got breast cancer we lost her income for over a year and the debts just spiraled out of control. The stress was unbelievable and I felt embarrassed about our situation. After speaking to Step Change and setting up a DMP we regained control and alleviated a lot of stress. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

First class.

I contacted Stepchange, about 10 years ago, after the usual bombardment of phone calls and messages. This stopped almost immediately, and a management plan was put in place.
