Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I was overwhelmed with debts and did not know how to go about help I went online and saw step change, I rang them up to see how they could help, they were so knowledgeable and made me feel calmer regarding the debts I had.We went through a solution that was an affordable payment each month this was wonderful. Ive had the best experience with stepchange so far.

Highly recommended

As a single mum on maternity leave I was unable to keep up with my credit card repayments. It was for the first time in my life I got into such a difficult financial situation and not being able to work for a while I didn't see a way out of the mess. I'm now on a debt repayment plan with StepChange and I can just say I highly recommend anybody struggling financially to get in touch with them.
