Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Debt

I found I was in financial difficulty and did not know what to do, I was so worried and upset and happened to stumble over stepchange on the the Internet, it was one of the best phone calls i have made, straight away they took so much pressure of me, they were not judge mental at all, very professional and has answers to my questions, I felt so relieved. They put me on a debt management plan which was there recommendation, I have phoned them several times since when receiving letters from creditors and they always explain and talk me through everything and give me a understanding to what is going on. Once the initial contact is out off the way, you can trust Step Change to be there for you and act as a go-between you and your creditors, always happy to assist if your situation needs modifying and very professional.
