Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

So easy to deal with

Step change where so easy to deal with and put my mind at ease straight away the staff on the phone didn’t judge me instead they helped me set up a payment plan meaning I am able to afford monthly payments and not have fear of more letters through my door Reviewed on: 10th July 2020

My life line

Step change turned my life around, I have now paid back more than half of all my debts with their help and guidance. The relief of their help and support with dealing with my creditors and working out a payment plan I only wish I had addressed my debts with Step change sooner.
