Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Forever Grateful

Due to unforeseen redundancy our family finances reduced significantly. With mounting debts and reduced income , I was at an all time low . Step change we’re totally non judgemental and gave me the support I needed . I’m on a DMP and am gradually clearing my debts . My saviour, my hero

Stepchange allowed me to change and be a more responsible person. It took a huge weight off my shoulders and this improved my health and outlook on life. This improved my relationships at home and work. Without Stepchange i don’t what would have happened to me. In a way they saved my life and improved it. I am now responsible with my money and credit.
