Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I would highly recommended Stepchange.

Initial review in Year One I didn't get much information about budgeting. But I was extremely grateful fir the service provided. At the end of my first year I had help from an amazing customer service representative, who explained a lot more and saved me a lot of money on my monthly payments. Step change , changed my life.

Step change , changed my life. The support I have received over the years to manage my debts has been exceptional. The non judgmental kind and friendly staff have always made me feel there is a solution but allowing me the autonomy to make choices. I was on debt for over 15k.
