Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Once my DMP was set up it ran very smoothly and without hiccup as long as the agreed money to pay the DMP was in my account. I can view my plan at any time. It takes a weight off my mind. Intend to stay with Step Change until my debts are cleared. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

If I could leave a 10 star rating I would.

If I could leave a 10 star rating I would. I was almost at breaking point financially. I couldn't see a way out....I was then told about Stepchange. I made 1 phone call and everything changed. They eased all my fears and concerns. Told me what to do, since then no more calls from creditors, no debt collection visits and no CCJ. One affordable payment, that was nearly 7yrs, ago. StepChange was a life line.

StepChange was a life line. I'd become depressed with my debt which I never seemed to get smaller. Most of my payments were being taken up on interest. Due to this interest, I was running out of money by the end of each month and then had to 'borrow' again from credit cards just to survive. StepChange sorted everything for me and they have been friendly and caring when I've needed to contact them. I can honestly say that I don't know where I'd be today without StepChange and if you're in need of debt help like me, don't hesitate to contact them. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Stepchange literally changed my life!

Stepchange literally changed my life! I used to wake up with a feeling of dread everyday. But after taking the step to contacting Stepchange I felt a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I could finally breathe again knowing that I was making one payment a month instead of multiple. And the interest stopped instead of just paying off minimum payments every month and not getting anywhere. I would recommend Stepchange to everyone. Just take that first step to freedom from stress.
