Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

An affordable way to get out of debt

My husband and I were left in debt due to family circumstances. The worry and stress was overwhelming but thanks to StepChange Debt Management we were able to come to an affordable arrangement to pay off the debt over the years with the Creditors, this took away the stresses and strains of worry and StepChange also provided advice and support to get us back on our feet and leaving us debt free. A lovely bunch

I was referred to these lovely team during a bad episode and they really helped with budgeting, organising and made it as stressless as they could. I have been falling back a bit with the review but they are giving me a gentle reminder it needs doing. The only thing I will say is getting in contact with you by phone is quite difficult. Brilliant service from initial set up and continuing
