Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

They took my stress away.

They took my stress away. I was very nervous about reaching out to someone. I honestly thought things would get so worse with companies putting pressure on me. But Step Change took it all for me. It has been a completely stress free experience. If anyone is reading this and is worried, please dont be. Get the ball rolling as soon as you can. You will quickly realise that it’s actually not as bad as you think it is. There is help. You have just got to let them know. I absolutely recommend them to anyone in financial difficulty. You can do it all online as well if you do not want to talk to anyone. Words are not enough to explain how great they have been and the assistance given to get me back on track. I was getting more and more in debt and I couldn’t f...

I was getting more and more in debt and I couldn’t figure a way out for months then I contacted Stepchange and went through the process with them. I felt immediate relief as they contacted debtors and payment plans were set up. I now have never missed a payment so feel a lot happier. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
