Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Stepchange were a lifeline for me.

Stepchange were a lifeline for me. They talked me through everything and certainly eased my mind and convinced me that there was light at the end of the tunnel. They sorted my debt problems out and with regular monthly payments I am debt free. They negotiated with my creditors which stopped me getting threatening letters from creditors. Stepchange really are a godsend!...

Stepchange really are a godsend & gave me realistic & constructive help when I got into a hole due to a bereavement and being landed with double rent after a flatmate moved out suddenly & my credit provider was unhelpful,counter productive & toxic ,I really would’ve been lost without Stepchange’s help and advice and finally got to be able to sleep at night. Incredible organisation

I got into credit card and payday loans after my mother died. Step Change got me out of a deep dark whole. Thank you! You have to toe the line once you're on the plan, believe me.
