Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

The best decision I’ve made!

I was told about Step Change by my friend and in all honesty it was the best decision I’ve made. The process was straightforward and when I have had to call to give some more information everyone was so patient and helpful. I couldn’t recommend them enough. It has made life so much easier. From crisis to calm

I was in a major financial crisis - I had no idea how I coud get out of the hole I was in . Stepchange calmly and efficiently coached me through giving me breathing space and a structure. StepChange gave me clear and easy to understand advice. I found the website and online experience straight forward. You can speak to a debt advisor by phone if you wish. the Debt Management Plan they setup for me has taken a lot of worry and stress away. I also find the yearly reviews a great help aswell as being able to go on the website to look at my DMP at anytime for advice or to check my DMPstatements etc. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
