Lockdown and I'll health threw my husband and I into turmoil to pay an existing debt of a bank loan and credit card. They werent fortunes but we just werent able to find the monthly payments anymore. Step change were recommended by our bank so we decided to try. They were brilliant. So simple to follow instructions. Approachable and absolutely judgemental. They took all strainmoff us at every stage. Would recommend no one else if anyone is facing financial problems. Dont leave it until it's bad. Contact Stepchange as soon as possible. Benefits, debt and Stepchange

I was under crushing debts. They didn’t amount to more than £5000. But being on benefits is difficult to manage as is. When you add in debt, it can become distressing. My mental health was awful and I wasn’t sure how I would handle it. Stepchange were there to help with ever They calculated the debt and got in touch with all my debtors. We worked out an affordable plan and solution. All I had to do was guarantee that the money was in the account.
