Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I can’t thank StepChange enough!!

I can’t thank StepChange enough for all their support and advice. I was trying to cope with things on my own as I didn’t want to worry my elderly parents. StepChange are amazing and helped me with a realistic repayment plan. It prevented things spiralling out of control. I just wish I’d contacted them earlier. Their service is highly recommended. I couldn’t have found a solution without them. They are very caring and understanding people and understood my situation and my anxiety and distress calmed down once I explained everything and the information given about what I needed to do and moving forward with the next steps.
