Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

StepChange have been amazing

StepChange have been amazing throughout my debt journey. They are so understanding, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. From the very beginning, they made me feel like I could get my life back again after getting into debt. Thanks to their support, I’ve already managed to pay back half of what I owed, which feels incredible and has lifted such a huge weight off my shoulders. What also gives me peace of mind is knowing that if I ever struggle again, they will still be there to help and support me without judgment. Overall it has been a real stress reliever, the fact we now have control of our money and can actually see our debts being paid off instead of constantly paying random minimum amount here and there. All of the debts are combined into one payment and makes repaying so much easier and even better, cheaper too. I would highly recommend anyone that is in debt or worried about debt to seek advice from these guys, I would say I would happily use them again but I don’t plan on getting into debt ever again. Although they do have some useful online tools that will help now and in the future with managing money easier and I will be taking advantage of them.
