Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

.Help and support when you really need it

When I contacted StepChange I was drowning. I saw no way out of my situation. I was given non judgemental, practical advise. They helped be set up a budget and made me realise there actually was a solution to my financial problem. Contacting StepChange was the best decision I ever made. I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful that Step change exists . When your back is against the wall financially Step change and nationwide were the ONLY ones that offered a pathway I could manage. Angel's helping hand in form of Stepchange.

We have been availing Services n support from Stepchange for last 12+ years. We had joint debts of about 50k plus. This was due to we didn't managein our budget.Due to its support in guidence , managing with creditors we are fortunate to leave dignified life. Had we not been with Stepchange , we can not imagine what miserable life we might had to suffer. We can not express in words hove much we are thankful for its guidance n moral support. Extremely helpful debt advice

Step Change, were extremely helpful and very patient and understanding with me when I went to them for debt advice. They helped me work out my budget leaving an affordable amount left for me to split between all my non priority debts. Which I'm hoping to be debt free in a much shorter time than I anticipated. My plan is flexible and easy to adapt and check with an account I have access to. They have always been understanding and helpful when I needed to contact them via the phone.
