Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

None Judgemental Brilliant Service

Totally no judgement, takes details of all of your debts, works out the best affordable offer according to your income & outgoings. My DMP ends in July 2027. It will have taken 7 years, but I would not have managed it on my own. So glad that I was recommended to contact them. They are a charity and take no fees, every penny goes towards clearing your debts. They negotiate everything on your behalf, the interest gets stopped, and you can gradually see the amount you owe reducing. I feel proud to recommend Step Change to everyone who finds themselves in difficulties. I had occasion to call them recently unfortunately I was told no one was available as they had so many other callers waiting in a queue, my question was resolved by email on this occasion.
