Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

StepChange really do help with debt problems

I was in a horrible situation with debt and struggling to make my monthly payments. StepChange were able to help me plan out my finances and dealt with my creditors on my behalf. They have come up with an affordable plan which means I can repay my debts over time and not collapse under the weight of it all! The staff at StepChange are so busy and not always available right away. But when they come back or you can get through they are empathetic, honest and friendly. I have multiple debts and couldn't make heads or tails of it. Now my debts are reducing monthly on month. And that's because of the help from StepChange Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

Absolutely brilliant customer service from start to...

Absolutely brilliant customer service from start to finish, expert advice when I was so low in my financial circumstances. I Didn't see a way out but after talking to them they gave me a few options then discussed the best of those options to me. Would highly recommend if you are going through financial difficulties.
