Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Awful communication.

Awful communication. I have been more distressed due to this as creditors are still chasing me and no one seems to listen or help me. a debt was taken on by someone else and I’ve been harassed by them even though I’ve told SC. They have not acknowledged my emails or helped me at all with this. My mental health is declining as a consequence. Reviewed on: 6th June 2025

A Huge Thankyou

When i approached Stepchange due to a few financial problems including me burying my head in the sand I was desperate for help and advice.
