Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Amazing company

Step change have been excellent in helping me get my debts in order, and make affordable repayments over a longer period of time. It's saved me so much money against the interest I would have had to pay. I'd recommend step change to anyone who is in a position of not being able to sensibly afford to pay their debts off. Helped me get out of debt for free!

Helped me get out of debt for free! Absolutely amazing charity who give you no judgement when you contact them either. Managed to get me a successful plan, I am now 1 month from being debt free. Paused all my interest on my accounts and set up affordable monthly payments reviewed periodically to ensure they were still affordable.
