Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Without the help of Stepchange we would have been penniless and out of a home, They took our case on board and due to our circumstances they advised a DMP Since being on this Plan we have sorted our finances out and still have a home.First class service the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable and of cause none judgemental. Amazing Company

I now sleep at night

During a time of difficulty they steadied the boat and helped me agree a plan with my debt suppliers. Not only can I now manage financially, I can also sleep at night. Reviewed on: 6th May 2024

I was drowning in debt, under pressure from creditor...

I was drowning in debt, under pressure from creditors not knowing what to do. Step Change took all that away, I now make an affordable payment each money, not hassle from the creditors. The team at Step change are so knowledgeable and reassuring. I feel at ease now. I would recommend every one in debt contact them. Reviewed on: 6th May 2024

I can sleep peacefully again!

The night after I contacted StepChange I slept properly for the first time in years. I wasn’t someone who considered themselves as a person with debt problems until I realised how many “small” debts I had. I just didn’t know how to get back in control. There are other “companies” that do this but charge a fee. StepChange is completely free and the staff are warm, kind and never judgemental. They also know their stuff.
