I went into debt after a breakdown in my marriage, debt was rising and i was struggling and felt ashamed. I was introduced to step change after speaking to my bank and they put me on a debt management plan. I can finally breathe, it is like a weight lifted off my shoulders and i am forever grateful to Step Change, making those steps certainly improved my mental and physical health, thank you team for looking after me. Just as I was at my whits end with my debt and thought there was no way out. I contacted step change for help. They were great and spoke with me in detail and helped get on the right track. They gave me a number of options and helped me pick the best suited for my situation. Everyone I’ve spoke with are so helpful and I continue to get the help and support from them. I was in such a financial mess when, at my age, I should be settled. Stepchange help me through the mess and basically sorted everything out without me having to talk to my creditors. They helped draw up my budget and even though a felt embarrassed saying how much I owed, the person on the end of the telephone was so sympathetic and really made me feel at ease.
