Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Stepchange saved me life literally saved my life!

They literally saved my life! I was despairing and depressed as my bank had shut my account and started charging astronomical interest on my credit cards. I was recommended Stepchange and they froze the exorbitant interest charges so I could stand a chance of paying off the capital. Still think they are angels. Thank you all so much! Step change helped me get my life back on track

Was in lots of debt even though I was working in a professional field. I felt embarrassed asking for help but it had to be done. I was treated with respect and with professionalism. Step change has changed my life and got me on track to sort out my debts and will be debt free in 12 months. It has made me reflect on my purchases and what I need and don't need.
