Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

When I needed help and advice Stepchange were there...

When I needed help and advice Stepchange were there for me. Easy to talk to and you always felt they listened. I never had to talk directly with anyone else, they really helped me when I was being hounded, all this disappeared. My advice to anyone is never put your head in the sand go to StepChange and let them help. No judgement on their part and within a few weeks a debt reduction plan was fully operational and all parties were happy Reviewed on: 6th June 2025
