£42,000 of debt

In 2017 I was suffocating under a mountain of debt. Stepchange was recommended to me by a friend , as they had received help and were successfully managing their own plan. I had nothing left to lose so I took the plunge and made the call. It is without doubt the best decision I made, no judgement, no criticism only help and support. My debt was over 40k! But here I am, almost exactly 7 years later and in 2 more months I will be debt free. It's not been easy, I won't lie to you. It's like everything in life that's worthwhile, you need to work at it. If, like me you are struggling, alone and feel like you are unable to manage your repayments to multiple creditors and worried that the next knock at the door is the bailiffs? Brilliantly helpful and reassuring service
