Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Hugely helpful.

Help and advice when needed

Always ready to help and suggest best way forward when help was needed.We spent several years clearing our debt with their guidance and cannot fault them.The biggest benefit was they negotiated with our creditors to stop interest being applied which meant that every penny we paid came off our debt, without that help we would have taken much longer to be debt free. Have been using them for several years and their management of my debt repayment, advice, dealing with my debtors and communication are all first class and I can't see how it could be bettered.
