I have been with the Suffolk BS (formerly Ipswich BS) for many years and I stay with them not only because they offer competitive products, but because of the very personal service I receive. They are very well respected in the area and demonstrably care about the local area - holding and supporting charitable events. They are a credit to our Town and County. A true mutual for all of my 75 years

Mutuality in financial services is a perfect business plan to benefit everyone. It is such a shame that so many building societies have disappeared. But that simply makes SBS all the more special and our members should recognise its full value. Through all its many changes, SBS has remained loyal to its Suffolk roots as a totally reliable service provider and long may it continue to do so. It must not be taken for granted. Efficient and friendly

When I was looking for an account that I could open to save on behalf of my grandson who is 16. The account I was saving in for him would have transferred to him in his name at 16, but I wanted to have an account for him that transferred at the age of 18. There wasn't many of those accounts around that a grandparent could invest in for the child. Suffolk Building Society found me a family trust account with a competitive savings rate that I could continue saving in for him until we give him the money at age 18.
