You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Wow wow wow

When setting up my Lifetime ISA I became confused as it is my first time doing something like this. I contacted customer support and they we very clear and explained everything clearly and simplified it to make it more understandable. The app is fantastic, not overloading me with different icons or offers like other providers. I appreciate aswell the emails I receive that simplify any changes on the app or legislation changes and provide advice on what to do next. The interest rate is fantastic and I have nothing but praise for everything that is offered. My friends and family have all set up an account and keep saying how amazing it is. Trustworthy Companu and Easy to Use App

We changed for high interest rates and were sceptical at first due to being with a more known provider in HL. However Tembo have been super easy to use, we love the combining LISA option to track our progress together. Seamless account to open

Using as a pension pot top up

I had already purchased my first home when I opened my Tembo account as I had outstanding government paid in after my exchange date. I did not wish to lose 25% of my remaining balance if i withdrew. I really love the pause feature; this wasn't available with my previous account provider. My only negative is when opening the account, there is no option to choose if you're not buying your first home and you are using as an additional saving account and there is no where to update this even if your circumstances change during the course of having the account. I have recommended Tembo to my younger friends and family members who are eligible to open a Lifetime ISA. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026

I've had a good experience using Tembo for my Lifetime ISA. The app is easy to use, I can see my interest clearly, and withdrawals/deposits have worked when expected. The app has never crashed for me and overall the experience has been very seamless. So far, I'm really happy with it. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026
