Good Company, website could be better

Great company and great customer service. The only thing I would say is that the website is not very mobile friendly. I used the website on my phone and alot of the operations/buttons and messaging service I could not view. Reviewed on: 4th May 2023

Feels like interacting with family not a corporate

Good experience, I'm happy. Would be even better if transactions on my account showed up immediately and I was able to withdraw funds immediately, not next day, via bank transfer. Reviewed on: 28th April 2023

I felt I was in safe hands.

I jumped the gun by trying to put savings into my account using a different bank account than I had previously nominated. There was then some confusion as to whether the money had been sent back and to which account. This was entirely my fault but I was helped by Aaron Nicholls who phoned me every single day at the same time. This helped because I knew when I would be called but also because I spoke to the same agent each time. This meant that I did not have to keep explaining what the problem was, and Aaron talked me through what was happening. He was so polite and personable that we had a good rapport by the end of four days of discussing my account. I would say that having the same person ringing me each day was a huge benefit and contributed to me feeling that I was in a safe pair of hands and that my savings would also be cared for as judiciously. Worst customer service I have ever experienced

Had to call customer services on a few occasions and each time I’m told only 1 in front of me but still didn’t answer for over 30 minutes! Imagine if there where 10 in front. Reviewed on: 26th April 2023

Low isa interest rate

Why are you only paying 1.6% interest on 45 day notice account when other accounts are paying in excess of 3%. Is it because most people won’t move their isa. Well I will !!! Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

We have to balance the interests of our savers and our borrowers, who pay the interest that savers receive. We are aware that savers are even more conscious of the importance of getting the best rate they can at the moment and of course we hope our savers will stay with us, but we understand if you should decide to invest elsewhere. For some reason, I am unable to send a secure message via FBS's website. Accordingly, I phoned and left a voicemail requesting a call-back. I was duly called back very promptly, and was able to arrange the closure of one of my FBS accounts without fuss over the phone. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2023
