Easy to set, excellent savings interest rate

Easy to set up the online account. Emails at every stage. Great savings rate. Only annoying thing was that I had to send my signature by post and not able to upload an electronic copy Reviewed on: 11th July 2023

New customer - Excellent experience

Tuesday 11.07.23 I have opend an account on line because of the attractive interest rate and easy on line access to funds. The experience has been excellent. I have contacted FBS by logging into account, and on Telephone. No problem at all. There has also been confirmation by email text and post. Just what I wanted to feel save with on line banking. The worst bank on the planet!

Website is a shambles. Can't be contacted at the weekends! (Otherwise I would have closed my account on Saturday!) Now waiting (14 minutes and counting) to get through to them on the phone to close it! Reviewed on: 10th July 2023

Total waste of time

Despite my wife and having lived in the same house for 30 years and been with a UK building society for as long FBS said they could not verify our details and needed passport driving licence or certified copies by a solicitor Reviewed on: 9th July 2023

Problems with their computer systems

I had to make a number of online applications and many telephone calls to eventually get the application up and running. This was due to the society's computer systems. I spoke to a couple of ladies but it was Louise who I had quite a few conversations with. She was very helpful, humorous and pleasant and she eventually was the person who sorted it out, so well done Louise. Refreshing and professional

I had a hiccup applying online hence ringing. I was impressed that the phone number was visible often it's hard to find with some companies. The guy I spoke to is a credit to the company, pleasant, plenty of product knowledge, very helpful indeed - thank you Reviewed on: 5th July 2023

A Breath of Fresh Air

Approachable by phone and helpful

As more high-street banks close, being able to talk to a real person not a bot, and without waiting forever is increasingly important. Vital when it involves money. The FBS can be reached by phone and the operatives are polite and efficient. Gill helped me do what I wanted to do today. Reviewed on: 16th June 2023
