The world's most ethical bank

I have been more than happy with the ethos of Triodos...the world's most ethical bank. It is a comfort to know that my money is being used for good purposes that benefit the planet. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

Peace of mind, friendly and timely customer service

Every time I have needed to contact them they have given me thorough, friendly responses, and if they didn't know the answer right away, they researched until they had the answer. Even though the monthly fee is very small, when I first considered switching to Triodos it was a barrier--after all, you can't beat free. But it turns out, you can. I may pay £3 a month for banking, but for that I have total peace of mind knowing that my money will never be used for something I wouldn't approve of. Ethical standards for a bank are even more important in these tumultuous times, and I feel safe and cared for with Triodos. I have attended online gatherings as well and they are informative and interesting. They offer transparent banking which I have never heard of from another bank. I tell everyone about Triodos, and I would never consider changing. The only thing I don't bank with them for are international money transfers--that involves fees I couldn't afford, so I use a different online bank for my international money needs. I’m very happy

I’m very happy with the current account Triodos provide especially now it will link to Apple Pay. I don’t often have to use their customer services but when I have I have been very satisfied with the professional and friendly staff. I wish they would have a current account where the cost of each purchase on my Triodos card is rounded up and the rounded up monies put into a savings account or given to a reputable environmental charity. Generally, I have no problems with banking with Triodos but on the very rare occasions when I haven’t been able to do something, the customer service team have resolved the issues straightaway. Usually it’s something I misunderstood or done wrong. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

Triodos doesn't fund wars

Triodos is reliable, easy to contact and doesn't fund wars or destruction of the planet. Having my Triodos card in apple pay is a great plus too. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

Banking with Triodos means a bright future for all

Banking with Triodos means my money is working for a better future for lots of people. This means safety and security for me, over the long haul. Most big banks finance projects that lead to faster human-caused climate change, illegal or harmful military activities, displacement of people, etc. This causes harm to people around the world, and then back to myself as the world becomes less safe and secure. Climate change (and the pandemics this leads to) cost enormous sums of money. Free banking at the big banks is penny-wise and pound-foolish.
