A superb bank for ethically-minded people

Triodos Bank has set an example for other banks to follow by showing that banking can be both ethical and profitable. In particular, peace of mind from knowing that savings and investments are not being used to fund arms sales, deforestation, slave labour and dirty fossil fuels. The major banks should take note - instead of treating their customers with contempt; understand that people can and will move banks to secure a better future for our planet. Simple positive ethical banking with fantastic service

Ethical standards at the best. Easy 7 day transfer, easy and simple app to use, clear website and very secure. They paused my first big transfer and I called customer services, who answered the phone with a human, who activated the transfer immediately. A really brilliant bank that ticks all the boxes

I was so dissatisfied with how the high street banks were being run and with how they were investing my money. The bank I was with was funding fracking and not funding any ethical projects at all. With Triodos I not only get amazing banking facilities, easy to use internet banking and a brilliant customer service but the peace of mind that my money is being used in a way I am happy to support. Triodos provide ethical and sustainable financial options for customers who care about the future and want to know where their money is invested. The Bank is completely transparent and all projects are openly on their website for all to see. They promote positive change and only support projects which are a benefit to people and the planet. I switched to Triodos as soon as they started personal banking accounts and I really feel that it was such a simple step to make the world a better place. Yes, you got it right. Triodos is not just another bank. No greenwashing, no surprises, just certainties! Knowing that you can entrust your savings to a bank that reinvests in environmental and social impact leaves you with a clear conscience. With more than 30 years of experience in the field, other banks that have to get in line with the times we are living in can only take an example from Triodos, the best bank I could wish for! Real ethics, not greenwash, and great customer service

I am really happy with the service that Triodos provides. The website and app are both easy to use, and staff are easy to get hold of on the phone if needed. The monthly fee is a fair price for the banking service provided and helps ensure that free banking for some is not subsidised by charges imposed on others who can least afford it. And of course there is Triodos's truly meaningful ethical policies that mean that whether you have a current account or a savings account your money will never be used to invest in businesses and industries that harm people or the planet. Love my bank

Always though banking relationships were about tolerating each other. They were grumpy, I was grumpy. But I've been with Triodos for a few years now, and I don't think I've ever been annoyed with them. The best bit is ringing up and speaking to someone who can actually fix what needs fixing there and then, the staff are always great. Reviewed on: 26th February 2021
