A truly ethical bank

I feel very happy placing my money with Triodos. They place ethical and environmental considerations first, whereas for most banks these come second to profitability. And this ethical approach is also reflected in the honesty and transparency of their communication with me as a customer, so I feel confident they will keep me fully informed. Great ethics, great service.

Triodos has for years now veen probably the most ethically-oriented banking company in existence. They offer practcally all of the usual banking services, including a current account. Talking to them is very easy, response is very good. My only caveat was, and is, how difficult it was to get their phone app working. If the other banks can do it... Integrity in a bank, is this possible?

Well, yes, integrity in a bank IS possible with Triodos! They have been leading the way for many years in Europe, with their ethical investments and help at grass roots levels. I keep hoping that these ethics will move across into mainstream banking ... My only regret is that Triodos is only online banking, something I am very, very nervous of getting into, not because I mistrust Triodos but myself in operating such an account. It is all too easy to mis-click on something only to wish you hadnt before the button returns to normal position! Also, with all the scamming going on, it must make it that much easier for them to swindle people out of their monies. Reviewed on: 17th January 2023
