Great rate offers, brilliant comms and customer experience

Applied for a Virgin Credit because of a zero rate offer. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast response. Security is tighter than any of my other card providers. You do have to be up to date with modern tech: phone, text, online. When I have had to phone for help, the customer service offered has been exceptional. Regular rate offers and updates via text/SMS. Really poor customer service - charged 2.5% to decrease credit card limit

Incredibly long winded process to get through to the right department. Unhelpful and unclear customer service. Charging 2.5% to decrease the limit on my account and not understanding or explanation as to why from the customer service team. Reviewed on: 5th January 2019

Good offers regularly, dated bank technology

Virgin are competitive, such is the only reason most people will choose any credit card. The big plus I give Virgin is that they continue to offer additional 0% offers long after you opened the account - this does make it possible to keep it if you didn't want to keep switching credit cards every other year. However, Virgin Money have no banking app for any device, no contactless card and no Apple/Android Pay integration. What more is there to say on that? Perhaps the fact that as a customer you don't find out that these features are missing until you've received the card, because in 2019 it is assumed that a card provider includes options like this.
