Virgin Money offer three levels of travel insurance. Red is the lowest cost policy with a £100 excess per person. Silver is mid-range and has an excess of £75 per person. Gold is the highest cover level with £50 excess per person.

Amazing for medical conditions

As a young person with pre-existing conditions; I can't access a lot of medical travel insurace specialists. Virgin Money is amazingly affordable and inclusive of all conditions - I never use any other company. Reviewed on: 4th September 2017

Easy and affordable

Purchased an annual worldwide travel policy through virgin, the cover was easy to obtain, affordable and the documentation, easily accessible. Phoned virgin to clarify a winter sports condition and they answered the phone quickly and clarified the clause, great customer service. Reviewed on: 4th July 2017

Great Product

Simple sign-up on line, cover for pre-existing conditions and winter sports cover as standard. Perfect for me. Reviewed on: 5th February 2017

The absolute worst customer service

The service from this company has been so poor I almost don't know where to start! The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, delay after delay with a very straight forward claim for delayed/damaged baggage. Apparently I should pursue the airline, even though I bought insurance from Virgin. Mislaid paperwork etc. I was issued a cheque for 15 quid (to replace my suitcase LOL) a month after informing them that Easyjet had replaced my suitcase with a new one of similar high quality, so I was dropping my claim for it. They then demanded the cheque back as if it's my fault! 2 months later, I am still waiting for settlement. It takes an absolute age for them to reply to anything, and it's always from an anonymous person - which I HATE! Thank God, I didn't have to claim on the medical cover. COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE. So easy and CLEAR

I took out Virgin Money Travel Insurance last year and although a couple of pounds more than the cheapest ones I could find, well worth it in my opinion for peace of mind. They are so easy to apply online and took minutes. Instructions and small print (not so small) was clear and I was able to add threats of terrorism and flight delays to it for an extra couple of £.... They reply quickly by post with a Virgin Money Card to keep on you with your account details and numbers needed. They automatically renew each year - so up to you if you want to search for other details but in this case I am happy to stay put Reviewed on: 28th March 2016
