Request for Refund for Incorrect Insurance Charges

Dear Zego Team, I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding motor insurance charges applied to my account for shifts completed on 8 December 2025, and to request a refund for those charges. attached to this email. Background On 8 December 2025, I completed delivery shifts with Stuart and Deliveroo. I was using a bicycle, not a car, during these shifts. At that time, my request to change my transport type from bicycle to car was still under review with all three providers. My car transport type was approved only on 9 December 2025, which I have already shared screenshots to confirm. I contacted Zego support on multiple occasions and explained clearly that: • I was riding a bicycle on 8 December • My car was not approved by the platforms until 9 December • Motor insurance was set up only to allow provider review, not because I was using a car for deliveries Issue Zego charged me for motor insurance for shifts worked on 8 December, despite the fact that: • I had no approved car transport type with Stuart, Deliveroo, or Just Eat on that date • I was physically completing deliveries by bicycle • The providers have confirmed they cannot issue documents specifying vehicle type for past shifts, which is beyond my control. I was informed that a refund cannot be issued without official provider documents confirming bicycle use. However, such documentation is not available, and I believe this requirement is unreasonable, as: • Vehicle approval dates clearly show my car was not active until 9 December • It is illogical to assume car usage before car approval was granted Why I Believe a Refund Is Justified • My car transport type approval on 9 December proves I could not have used a car on 8 December • The insurance setup was purely administrative, required by platforms for review • I did not benefit from motor insurance cover while riding a bicycle • I acted in good faith and disclosed all relevant information Request I respectfully request that Zego: 1. Reviews this case at the management level 2. Issues a refund for the motor insurance charges applied on 8 December 2025 3. Confirms the outcome in writing If this matter cannot be resolved internally, I would appreciate details of the next escalation steps, including external complaints procedures. Scam company

They keep telling me that they are cancelling my policy for not keeping my drivers score high enough, even though i keep meeting their target. They threatened me that if i didn't cancel my policy with them, they would cancel it and i would struggle to get a policy elsewhere. Their app seemed to fluctuate on the stats that i know for a fact should be 100% (specifically the resting stat, I'm a window cleaner, so i only drive for short bursts of up to 0 minutes before having a rest period of 15/30 minutes). They also charged me for cancelling the policy even though they had threatened me into it. This company stinks of foul play, the other reviews seem to be copy and paste style reviews, the Facebook page rarely gets many interactions, none of this adds up. Avoid like the plague. Extremely Poor Service – A Warning to Future Customers I am writing this review after over a month of daily frustration with this insurance company, and I feel it’s my responsibility to warn others. I am currently paying for a policy I’m not using, and despite my repeated requests, the company refuses to cancel it or issue a refund. Even worse, I’ve been trying to simply change the vehicle on the policy, and they’ve failed to do that as well. Every time I contact support, I receive a different explanation from a different agent. There is no consistency, no clear communication, and absolutely no accountability. I was told a manager would contact me three days ago — I’m still waiting. These kinds of promises have become routine and never fulfilled. This experience has made it clear to me that the company is not trustworthy. If it’s this difficult to resolve a basic administrative issue, I can’t imagine what would happen in the event of a serious accident or claim. It is deeply concerning. The way they’ve handled my situation feels not only unprofessional but deceptive. It gives the impression that they’re more interested in keeping my money than providing any real service or support. To anyone considering this insurance: please be very careful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them under any circumstances. Customer service is shocking, email weeks later forcing you to install an app that is not made clear when you agree to the policy. They declined our no claims proof, sent from previous insurance company with no explanation, took another £260 WITHOUT authorisation out of our account. We insured a vehicle that was new to us but would not accept that we didn't have another insurance policy ongoing with our previous vehicle even with proof of previous policy being lapsed and a clear HPI from the DVLA of both vehicles with dates of ownership change and purchase/sales proof of both vehicles. Call centre completely useless and the pro rata refund abysmal!! Absolute con artists, robbed us blind!!!! Seems all the reviews on here are written by the company Reviewed on: 21st May 2025

Dodgy company who will scam you

Absolutely joke of a company. Ordered insurance online, then realised I'd done it wrong, so rang up to set up another policy. The lady on the phone said the old one needed to be cancelled before setting up the new one (great... Or so I thought) A month later, I have 2 direct debits taken out of my account. One for the old one (that I was assured was cancelled, and the new one) I called Zego 5 times to sort out, and was on the phone for over 2 hours trying to speak to somebody to help me. When I eventually spoke to someone, they told me i need to ring Premium Credit Ltd as it was down to them. After another long conversation with PCL, I was told it was cancelled, and I needed to speak with Zego, as they hadn't cancelled it their end. So I spent another lifetime on hold, to confirm this with Zego, only to be told somebody will ring me. That was 2 weeks ago, I'm still waiting for the call 2 weeks later, I have more money come out of my account, so I ring Zego to find out what's going on. Spend another hour on hold, only to be told my policy has been cancelled, due to me not signing a credit agreement with Premium Credit Ltd. Again, I was told somebody would call me back asap, as I was at work, and now had no insurance. After ANOTHER call to Premium Credit Ltd, they tell me I have in fact signed the credit agreement, and they're unsure why my insurance was cancelled. ANOTHER hour long phone call with Zego to try and sort it out, only to be told I will get a call back as soon as possible Guess what? Still no call back, still not sorted, and I have spent over £300 to be insured for 2 months and now have to have a day off work to try and sort out, as I'm uninsured. Not very good for a company who offer work vehicle insurance, is it? Not sure what's going on at this place, but it's definitely a bit shady. I'll be emailing the insurance ombudsman today, and hopefully get to the bottom of all this dodgy behaviour. -10/10. Reviewed on: 11th June 2024

Best Insurance provider and great customer service

I found Zego through a connection on a huge pursuit site and they had the option to offer the best cost and least demanding statement and buy process, since buying I've needed to Revise the strategy through the truly supportive Application Visit. I addressed a truly supportive specialist called Malik F they had the option to manage all that I really wanted in a quick and productive way I will 100 percent be prescribing this organization to all my work partners. If they need to sell insurance they will ring you every day.If you have a problem they say go to Zego App Nearly one year I cant get through and they increased hourly rate.
