Decided to sign up to online with the Chorley because of lock down. It was very straight forward and easy to understand considering doing online banking is new to me. I was sent an ID number through the post and went into my Chorley accounts but I couldn’t see a log out notice which the letter accompanying my ID number said to do but it would log me out after 5 minutes automatically if I wasn’t using the inline service. I found this to be a long time to wait and would have thought probably a couple of minutes would have been enough wait. I rang the next day and spoke to a lovely lady Called Joyce Haywood who was working from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, she was very helpful and asked if there was a menu option which there was so I clicked on it and low and behold was the option to log off. So I feel much happier now that I can log straight out. Thanks for your help Joyce. Reviewed on: 5th June 2020

Efficient yet friendly counter service. I have been using the Chorley and District BS for a long time now and I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen. I wanted a pass book account for my Granddaughtet as an introduction to savings. She now has the experience of walking into a physical space and can speak to the staff herself. She can see from her pass book how much she has saved and interest accrued. She loves going ito deposit her pocket money. It is so much more personal and friendly than other financial institutions and I have never had to wait in a queue when I have telephoned! A fantastic high street service. A personal, efficient, effective experience

I had not been into the CBS for some time and found out that my account could be transferred into another giving a more preferential interest return. The change over was completed efficiently and quickly with me not having to do anything at all. A superb personal service delivered face to friendly, helpful face. Reviewed on: 4th March 2024
