The service is good. The service is good. I do not like the way they in branch business is done in public in the foyer. It feels scruffy, impersonal and not secure Reviewed on: 15th September 2025

Not the simplest of credit cards Difficult to activate. Difficult to make on line payments. Just difficult all round, and no high street branch for 20 miles.. I've cut mine up. Reviewed on: 16th September 2025

Excellent rates

I've had a credit card with Hsbc for the past year. I have been very pleased with the rates. I've also been pleased with the service I have received when dealing with HSBC. Reviewed on: 11th June 2017

Great Credit Card

Solid credit card with great customer service

I'm very pleased with my HSBC credit card. Although there are no rewards or benefits of using it, because it is linked to my current account I can view all my finances in the app on my phone without logging in which means I can instantly see where I am financially. I've only had to call customer services a few times and each time was a pleasant experience. Reviewed on: 10th June 2017

nice card decent credit limit

although the actual application process was a little long winded, being via post. I got a much higher credit limit than I expected and the card was easy to use and I feel confident in the high level of security surrounding accessing my account. Reviewed on: 9th June 2017

Safety first banking

I have been with HSBC all my life and have always found them fair when it comes to credit cards and loans. Recently they put a block on my account due to suspected fraud, turns out all was on and a quick phone call got this removed, but I am glad they are looking out for me in this way. I'd rather be safe than sorry as they say. Reviewed on: 3rd May 2017

Good protection

Although it can be annoying at times, HSBC's fraud detection team have contacted me a few times when I have purchased items that do not conform to my spending pattern. Reviewed on: 11th February 2017

Good services

HSBC which I have been for over 10 years now started as being the perfect option for me moving to a new country. It turned out to be difficult to have good customer service for them and I nearly left the bank. However in the last few years they have been really good and up their game.
