Fast and efficient, affordable loans

I have been a member with South Manchester credit union for over 10 years and have had a few small loans in the past which have been a a good rate. I have always been treated respectfully and politely and SMCU has been prompt on providing details and outcomes of decisions for loans. I have recently needed to apply for a more substantial loan as my credit cards were costing so much in interest and a few unforeseen bills such as car repairs and white goods needing replacing meant I would be paying extortionate APR on other types of credit. SMCU have been very helpful and understanding in my predicament and thanks to the loan at a good interest rate I am still able to save alongside my repayments . Reviewed on: 23rd June 2025

I applied for a loan with a poor credit score due to some unfortunate circumstances and the team were nothing but supportive and helpful, great response time and I was approved for my loan! This team of caring, efficient human beings consider the whole person and their individual circumstances into consideration before making a decision, I was trapped in a cycle of high interest payments to various creditors.
