Tar river service

Bad time keeping

They have changed the arrival time more then 5times. They give the engineer wrong location. More then 4 hours waiting and I’m still waiting Reviewed on: 19th December 2022

AA service

Wife flat tyre on A303 Right now. We are Gold members and have been for years. She’s been told 1-6 hours to wait. I called National Tyres and a guy called Ryan is coming in 1 hour with tyre to fix problem. Of course I will be paying him and it’s out of hours but I don’t care. My wife has been treated appallingly by a woman at the AA who couldn’t have cared less. In future I suggest we all save our insurance premium and if you get a breakdown (which is rare these days) just pay for the local tyre/tow etc service. You’ll probably save a lot more than you spend over the years. I have 4 cars insured with the AA and it costs about £250 a year. In future my own money will insure me! No common sense longest wait times in the freezing weather

Broke down on the A2 last night at 4:40pm waited almost an hour to be towed twice as far away from home to a ''safe space'' which was a mc Donald's and a subway at the Dartford Services. The AA then needed to send someone out to check the problem (2 hours later), also on a flatbed truck that could have taken me home, I was then dumped there until 12:50am. I have woken up with a cough and cold as there was no where to sit in the warm for 8+ hours. Utterly disgusted is an understatement. A complete lack of care and common sense shown. When you are closer to home than the services, surely you should just be taken home and ease the stress on the company. It took 3 people to do the job of one person with an ounce of common sense. Disgusted with this company

Absolutely disgusted with the AA called them this morning at 8:30 for a break down with me and my child in the van, had a patrol car come out 2 hours delayed. Told the engineer car isn’t leaking so don’t put anymore water into the reservoir I just need a tow to the garage to which he then poured water into the reservoir thinking he can find a fault to water all 6 litres he poured into the van went straight into the oil sump. He then told me he could tow the van as it’s too big to which he ‘booked’ a recovery truck to come pick my van up and drop it to the garage for 1 o’clock which I thought brilliant thank you. Then 10 hours later my van is still on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck…..luckily I had a relative pick up my child as he would have probably got hypothermia. I spoke to aa customer service on the phone the simply said sorry and told me they’ve spend 23 minutes on the phone and other customers waiting I’ve had to call the tow truck company and leave my key in a safe location as I can’t spend anymore time 13 hours is ridiculous. Very Poor Service

I called at 13:15 on 10 December and had to call another three times JUST TO GET A RECOVERY SLOT. Your customer care staff are appalling. Only when escalated to a manager did I get a booking, with a 9 hour waiting time. I've been a customer for 9 years paying almost £26 a month. Now it cannot be trusted. Currently 0 degrees and dropping. Incredibly poor service. I know you're busy, but you clearly need to employ more people to keep the business afloat. Off to your competitors I go! Extremely helpful service

I recently shopped around before automatically renewing my AA breakdown insurance. It has crept up over the years to become very expensive. When I phoned through to ask if they could offer me a better deal, the advisor took the time to explore all options and came up with a much better option. I accepted! Reviewed on: 14th October 2022

Parts and garage cover is waste of money

I had parts and garage cover from AA,last night my car was broken down,firstly they didn't came on time,they attended next day in the morning, when he turn up,he said gearbox is gone,so I took my car to local AA certified mechanic, but mechanic comes back with a qoute and when I talk to AA they said they can't pay because it may be long term issue,all they do is looking for a small excuse not to cover the cost,some one govt should take action against them, as they d Misleading the people to rip off them. They should check the car before selling this cover to anyone,only thing they do is take advantage of you when you are stuck,they know you can't do anything except paying them.very unprofessional Reviewed on: 12th October 2022
