I had to make a claim...

I had to make a claim. They were sympathetic and reassuring from my first contact to our last. They made the processes as easy and efficient as possible. They give clear advise, support and instruction. And paid out quickly. I would recommend them to friends and family based on my experience. Reviewed on: 17th September 2024

Customer Service Not Great

Unfortunately my recent experience with Allianz customer service was not great. After getting my renewal quote (which claims to be their best price) I did a Confused.com quote and received a quote £30 cheaper from themselves! There are no phone numbers so you are unable to speak to anyone direct, I tried emailing - but had no reply after 4 days! I then did their online chat only to be told that they do not price match any online quotes, the agent on the chat was quite rude in his responses and told me I was quite welcome to shop around as "that's what most customers do and I'd been given 30 days in which to do this". He also said I was welcome to cancel my existing policy and start a new one at the lower price - surely this just means more admin for both Allianz and their customers. I was with my previous insurer for a number of years and always felt they were fair and helpful whenever I spoke to them. If this is how I was made to feel when simply trying to renew a policy I'm worried about what would happen if I needed to make a claim. Very disappointed in the level of customer service received.
