DO NOT USE this useless company NOT interested I have never claimed off them until my pedigree Cat had to be put to sleep in November 24 he had had numerous tests n scans trying to find out what was wrong as he wasn’t old the results were shocking nothing could be done.You just think thank god I’ve got insurance the bill was just over £4.000 which we’ve paid ourselves it’s nearly 8 weeks it’s like trying to get blood out of a stone when you’ve lost a family pet you really don’t need all the upset and ringing for updates is a waste of time all they say is we have a back log and they’re not interested.Ive logged a complaint so let’s see what happens next. ASDA money pet insurance is a scam.

ASDA money pet insurance is a scam. 3 months on and they are still assessing a claim. I have given up. If I even get any payout from them I will be surprised. I am not renewimg and moving on. Forget it don't use ASDA money, you may as well light your money on fire. Reviewed on: 17th January 2025

Unacceptable delays in claims settlement

My cat had treatment 0n 15/16 October 2024 and a claim submitted on 1 November 2024. Here we are halfway through January 2025 and apparently my claim is "in the queue to be assessed". Despite sending several emails asking for an update I only ever received an automated reply saying they would respond in 3 - 5 working days (for that read NEVER!) I finally made contact via the online chat which is where I was given the "we are very busy at the moment and apologise for the delay" excuse by the unfortunate customer "service" person. I do not recommend this insurer and as soon as my claim is resolved I'll be cancelling both this and my dog's insurance policy with ASDA Money. I have also lodged a complaint about the delay and the very poor communication, although I doubt it will make any difference! Reviewed on: 17th January 2025

Shocking! Look elsewhere for pet insurance.

Shocking. Put a claim in for vets bills when our dog took in in October 2024. It's now January 2025, and the claim still hasn't been reviewed. Tough time over Christmas, as the vets bill was completely out of the blue. No feedback, no replies to any emails I've sent and fobbed off when you finally get to speak to someone. Shame I didn't read the reviews before signing up with them. Not sure if or when when we will ever get paid out. Reviewed on: 14th January 2025

A very poor service

We put a claim in in September when our dog had to have an emergency operation and on 4th October we're told by Asda pet insurance that an assessor would shortly be looking at our claim. It is now December 11th and we are still waiting for an assessor to look at our claim. In November I called to be told there is a back log and they had no idea when this would be looked at. Very poor service. We took out pet insurance for peace of mind. This month I will phone again in hope that we will be reimbursed. Would I recommend Asda pet insurance NO! I wish I had read the reviews before taking out insurance with them. I have never written a review before but feel the service is so poor I have to make others aware. Reviewed on: 11th December 2024

Still waiting for our claim to be accessed, the claim was made end of October 24 we are now December 24 and I’m still being told the claim is waiting to be accessed even though I’m informed they have all the information they need, constantly told there is a backlog. When reading the reviews this seems to be a pattern and no doubt the people working for customer services read from the same scripted nonsense. They can’t give you any timeline as it changes every time you have to call. I called after 4 weeks and was told it can take up to six, call after 6 weeks and I’m told it’s still waiting to be accessed. Terrible! They take your money no problem but when you need to claim you’re just fobbed off. Reviewed on: 10th December 2024

Avoid at any cost

Awful customer service and the continue to say information hasn’t been received even it has been sent 3 times and confirmed receipt after calling them to then cancel your claim and have to start again. people take out insurance for reassurance, I have spent a lot of my hard earned money on my pet who unfortunately had stood in glass and needed an op. I’m still waiting 3 months later to even get the ball rolling trying to claim any of what I spent back, wishful thinking. I pay £45 a month Amesbury would honey honestly recommend not opting for an insurance company based on price, it’s not worth your time or the hassle. Reviewed on: 13th November 2024
