Poor value compared to other savings providers We have a number of savings accounts. Atom bank has been the worst by far in terms of offering one rate and then dropping the rate. Do not recommend Reviewed on: 9th March 2026

Started off with fixed account got a good deal then re opened a new fixed one a yr later with a variable account I’m enjoy both accounts grow thank you Reviewed on: 13th March 2025

Compound Interest is the best

I chose Atom Bank for their very high interest rate, but what I really like best is that the interest is compounded. This means that even when they lowered their interest rate (in line with the Bank of England), I continued to get interest each month that increased my balance over time.
