Looks after their customers

I had a Barclaycard platinum to make a big purchase. After paying off the total amount I tried to cancel they put credit on my account so I'd stay with them. They did this a few times for me which was really nice. Reviewed on: 4th April 2018

Never a problem

OK but

The product is OK, but some of the online services leave a bit to be desired. Would much rather be able to get more than a year of past statements, for example. Reviewed on: 10th February 2018

Good for Balance transfers, not spending

I have had a Barclaycard Platinum for some years now, and it sucks you in by offering long term balance transfers, but twice yearly appear to put up credit limits in an effort to encourage spending, which at rates like 26% can cost dearly. Therefore they are good if you can resist the temptation to spend! Reviewed on: 1st February 2018

The Travel Card to use in ATM's abroad

The Barclaycard Platinum travel card has no fees on spending or cash withdrawals overseas until 31 August 2022. DON'T USE IN UK ATM. If you pay off your balance in full each month, you won't be charged interest on overseas cash you withdraw, unlike most cards which charge daily interest on cash until it’s paid off.
