The Barclaycard Platinum travel card has no fees on spending or cash withdrawals overseas until 31 August 2022. DON'T USE IN UK ATM.
If you pay off your balance in full each month, you won't be charged interest on overseas cash you withdraw, unlike most cards which charge daily interest on cash until it’s paid off.

Sadly I've never had a good experi nice with BA claycard.
They're good with their online features but sadly if you have to phone then it's another matter.
The call centre is overseas and always hard to have a proper non scripted conversation. I've never been able to resolve any issues iv had amicably and no longer bother calling.

Cashback reduction

I used the card for four years having got it for the market leading 2% cashback at the time - despite having to use amex. over the years they've eroded that rate and they're now telling me i'm at 0.5% so i'm jumping ship....

I used the card for four years having got it for the market leading 2% cashback at the time - despite having to use amex. over the years they've eroded that rate and they're now telling me i'm at 0.5% so i'm jumping ship.

It's a shame because the app is really nice and managing the account has mostly been a breeze, but without any benefits, i'll balance transfer to a 0% card and at least get the benefit of not having to pay it. Customer service when needed is not great - with the only real option being to call with long wait times and foreign call centres

I've used Barclaycard for many years now and always found them very professional and accomodating if I've ever had an issue. This week I received a letter stating that I had incurred a £12 payment charge for a return direct debit. Long story short but basically I had managed to delete the DD as I couldn't change the amount manually that I wanted to pay. I went online and paid the minimum to ensure I didn't get a charge for late payment and then set up a new DD ready for the next month. Unfortunately I didn't calculate in the weekend days so I was too late to amend the amount for the current month. Although I had paid the minimum, the original DD was attempted to be taken and was rejected resulting in me getting the charge. I called the customer services, explained what had happened and they were extremely understanding. They explained my mistake and how to avoid it in the future and instantly credited back the £12 and removed the black mark from my account. I've had dealings with other companies when I've had different issues and never before received such a professional and supportive stance from such a big company. We are all very quick to criticize when they get something wrong but I believe we should spend more time recognizing the times when they do go the extra mile and make us realize that they do actually care. Many thanks Barclaycard, you exceeded my expectations on this one.

Had used Barclaycard for years now and cannot imagine using any other better product (And I tried a lot!).
Very friendly and pro-active Customer services, always taking care of you and making sure there is no fraud on your account. Easy to use website and App, where you can check your balance, make payments and also use big variety of other services. Loads of promotions and rewards constantly refreshing and making life easier.

Simply the best!!!
