Despicable, borderline illegal, treatment of customers. As a loyal customer of over 20 years I asked to switch to a more suitable card and was told I wasn't allowed and had to close my account for 6 months and reapply. Using their Platinum card meant high interest and no benefits. I wanted to switch to their Platinum Cash Plus (cashback and better travel fees) but was refused on the grounds of being an existing customer. On complaining, I was told they were going to close the complaint immediately as 'there was no way they would change their policy'. Took 15 minutes on a call to finally get my account closed after 3 people asked me to repeat why I was leaving. Website is a nightmare to use. Recent changes to the login process are unbearable and whenever I try to pay in full it tells me that would put my account in credit. I have to guess how much I can pay off without triggering the error message. Moved to First Direct who treat their customers fairly and with respect. Won't be using Barclaycard ever again. They treat their customers with contempt, as if we don't have any choice as consumers. It's not the 80s anymore Barclaycard.

I got my Barclay card in 2016 I was told it was a min payment of £5 when I applied for the card , throughout the years every month I would receive a late payment charge even though I pay it on time , when I called to find out why , I was told I was provided with false information , and have been over charged £300 , after a hour on the phone going through every single statement over 3 years I was fully reimbursed, absalutly shocking

High minimum repayments but good overall!

I find that the minimum payments on Barclaycard are a lot more than other credit card companies.
They do tend to put limits up regularly and this can be a down side to having one if you are not responsible when using the card. Overall I like the freedom of having my Barclaycard for emergency use!

Great customer service, very helpful and they offer many options to you. There is also many ways for making your repayments. Reminders on your phone that your payment is due which is so useful. Only negative point is that I am not aware of any customer rewards or benefits programme that would make it a better customer experience (there may well be one).
