Stay Away - you are better off elsewhere

The application process was easy and quick. that's where positives stopped. The card didn't arrive, rang the customer service team they said they can't do anything about post. I asked for second card, didn't arrive, I rang again asking them not to post with Royal Mail. They said we know Royal Mail is not delivering but we use them for post anyway that's our process! I ask them to raise a complaint they said we can raise it and close it straight away as outcome "not in customer favour". Reviewed on: 18th August 2026

Unmatched 0% offers with quick support

Barclays offers some unmatched financial offers without fail each month they offer 0% interest on balance and cash transfers for a 2.9% fee. If you're looking to consolidate your finances like I've done this offer is far superior to what any other banking group will offer. The staff are very supportive and friendly when you reach out to them, I've had one occurrence of fraudulent payments on my credit card and the support staff froze the expenses and recovered the funds almost immediately. Pretty good all round.

Barclaycard’s offers are frequent and good, their communication is top notch (do their utmost to remind you when payment is due) and you feel like your matter. The minimum repayment rates are a tad on the high side, but that’s the only (minor) complaint. Reviewed on: 13th June 2026

Not allowed to buydraw tickets

They have stopped me from buying draw tickets to win cars or motorcycles with both my cards saying the sites are blocked as gambling. They let me buy Omaze tickets to win a house though? I have phoned and asked several times for them to lift this restriction but they say they can’t? Why not? No answer. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

Barclaycard Platinum

This is my primary credit card and has been for some time, however that says more about my laziness than product excellence. When I travel abroad I use another product, because even after 20 years plus as a customer, transactions are still charged for by Barclaycard and I refuse to pay this commission. Brilliant Barclaycard 0% transfers

I keep a Barclaycard credit card as backup to the one I use more regularly but I have used it this year and seeral times in the past to transfer large balances from that other card to their long term excellent interest free offers and pay back the debt in a controlled way over that longer period while running day to day expenses on the other card. This has allowed me to complete the oayment for some large home improvement projects in a decent time frame without the hassle of applying for a loan and with only a transfer fee to oay rather than a lot of interest.
