Great basic account-fantastic app

Was looking for a basic account after poor credit history. Where other banks would simply not entertain potential customers with poor credit score Barclays provided a great basic account. Where it really stands out is that even with the basic account you get the same fantastic customer service and access to the brilliant online tools. Too many financial institutions treat you like a second class citizen if you have a poor credit history but not Barclays. Thank you for treating us all equally! Reviewed on: 6th December 2018

Easy to access and use

What I like most about my application is that, once I set up and passed all security checks, logging in is piece of cake, and using features is simple. Whereas some applications which I used before were not bad, I was always annoyed by those 3-steps security checks each time, with my user, password, and passcode on SMS, and sometimes only token-allowed actions. All gone! I am so happy. Barclays has an accessible, yet secure app. The only „minus” is I cannot swap application, once out of the main screen, it gets you off. Anyway, I got to enjoy the other side, the security purpose for doing so. Reviewed on: 5th December 2018

Xenophobic bank!

I’m not British, but I’m European and I have all the rights to live and work in England. This year I visited a Barclays branch in Soho/London to open a bank account and I was treated really bad by the staff only because I have accent when I speak English, they said they can’t open an account for people like me and invited to leave the branch. In other hand, HSBC was easy and nice with me. The staff in Brixton and also London Bridge was very helpful. I fully don’t recommend Barclays. I sent an email for the bank and never got an answer. I guess the staff is trained to disrespect non British clients. Reviewed on: 5th December 2018
