Always been reliable

Online experience very easy and secure. The online branches are understaffed at times. Reviewed on: 20th January 2018

Over use of Call Centre Staff in India

Big improvement in mobile and Internet app, which are very good. My main irritation is over use of support staff based in India, often with poor language skills and lack of training. Charges can be high too. Not a bank that I have confidence in and I always feel that the customer is very much at the bottom of the list. Reviewed on: 19th January 2018

Good, but there are better, but a good Mobile App

I have always been lukewarm about Barclays. I guess it is typical of the big banks in that their attitude to customers is not particularly helpful or consistent. I am also constantly irritated by customer service often being dealt with somewhere in India, where in many cases I cannot understand the pronunciation. They online banking and mobile app has vastly improved, but the Apple Watch app is useless! I no longer use Barclays as my main account, preferring to use one of the new app based banks instead (Starking and Monzo). Reviewed on: 19th January 2018

Simple to use and keeps me on track

I struggled with money for a few years and get into quite a lot of debt. It came a time last year when I wanted to transform my finances and make life liveable again. This is when i switched to Barclays and I haven't looked back. I've kept on track with my rent and bills every since. They don't push products on me like overdrafts and they have helpful charts to see where i'm spending too much. Reviewed on: 16th January 2018

Great digital banking, but charges can be high

I've banked with Barclays for many years and can safely say I'm glad I've now switched banks. I had a current account with an overdraft and the charges that I've incurred in the last 4 years have been crazy. In my opinion, you are ok if you don't borrow with them.
