Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Location

I only use this bank so I can put money in then transfer it out due to location it is the only bank available Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Barclays ok

Happy with my Barclays account particularly Pingit that allows me to send money to my student daughter instantly and easily. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Perfect for me

Had an account for over 10 yeats with no problem at all . Use online banking regularly and again I have no issues with it . Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Generally good

Having banked with Barclays for the last 17 years, I can't say I've been blown away by their service or products. They have been reliable but they aren't cheap, and I have doubts about their corporate ethics. Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Generally helpful and competent

Any minor problems I have had with my account have been sorted promptly. The only gripe would be my investment ISA has been migrated over from Barclays Stockbrokers and the banking app does not yet let me manage a portfolio on the move. Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Good bank

I’ve been with Barclays all my life and I’ve always found my local bank helpful and friendly. There’s been a few occasions where they’ve contacted me and noticed an odd transaction and stopped it before it’s even been authorised which I couldn’t be more happy about! All in all they’re a great bank and I won’t be leaving any time soon. Reviewed on: 7th November 2017
