Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Good product with no charge

Some banks charge to have current accounts. The standard from Barclays does not. Offers standard services as well as telephone and internet banking. Easy to use, transfer balances and set up DD and SO. Would recommend. Staff very helpful. Reviewed on: 4th April 2017

Barclays Blue Rewards

Barclays have a loyalty reward system whereby they pay £7 a month into a seperate wallet for current account customers. It's easy to set up online, there is a £3 fee, but your still earning £4 per month for nothing. I started just over a year ago and have now got £105 for free. Reviewed on: 24th March 2017

Disappointed

I have been a customer for many years, but was very disappointed when they did away with the Additions Platinum account. Customer service is poor and seems to deteriorate year on year. To cap it all, when I went to my local branch to get some statements for my accounts, they included someone else's statement together with mine. Reviewed on: 22nd March 2017

Closing of an Account!

Deeply disappointed when Barclays closed my Additions Plus Account that I was more than happy with, due to the benefits, to an account I didn't get much choice about having, just because they were getting rid of the Additions Plus Account from their range! Reviewed on: 13th February 2017

Good service, but hate the call centre

I am mostly impressed with Barclays since switching my main bank accounts a few years ago. I find the online banking easy to use, the staff in branch are friendly and helpful. My only problem is with the call centre staff who on occasion don't seem to fully understand the problem/query, or are just a bit cold and inflexible. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Standards of banking

Don't like these automated banking machines which are not always working I also feel banking hours should be open longer to suit the needs of people working the automated machines are not in my opinion very private and have put many people out of work Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Amazing experiences

I've banked with Barclays for over 15 years and can honestly say their customer service is brilliant. No matter which branch I have attended they are all extremely helpful and I've never had to wait long to see an advisor. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017
