How long will victims be killed by the use of a pen

1. Our company became a victim of a scam 2. We reported to Barclays 3. Barclays investigated, suspended our account in September 2022 4. In Oct a KYC was done on our company by Barclays 5. Barclays told us that they could not retrieve the funds from the scam 6. We approached a third party who took the case to the Omnibus man on the 14th Dec 2022 7. Barclays contacted us on 29th Dec to close all our accounts including our personal accounts 8. On the 31st Dec Barclays uploads a false credit report which does not align with our bank statements 9. On the 26th Jan 2023 Barclay gives us the balance left on our account in a branch, despite stating on the credit file that £0 was the balance as at Nov 2022. We tried opening accounts in other banks but were declined because of our credit file and were advised to check our company credit file 10. The revelation… Why has Barclays created a credit report of our company which is full of untruths to Experian to discredit and wreck our lives and livelihood? The truth always comes out in the end.. Our company account was closed yet there was still money in the account. On our Experian report it states £0 yet the bank gave us over £600 in cash without a receipt for an audit trail.. Yet the Experian credit report stated £0 in November 2022 and was updated at the end of Dec 2022. I wish I could add the evidence of the credit report and copies of bank statements - they are totally far apart. This has affected our health and livelihood as we can’t open any bank accounts at present, even to put the money that Barclays gave us from our supposed closed company account on the 26th January 2023. Last bank standing

I am pleased to be a Barclays customer because they are the only bank who haven't closed their branch in my local area. A couple of years ago we had 5 different banks, but the others have all closed without a thought for how local people are going to accomplish their in branch banking needs. But I'm with Barclays, and they are still open, they care about the local community unlike other bank brands. Reviewed on: 25th January 2023

100% Incompetency rate experienced as a Customer of more than a decade.

1
I am disabled, they knew this, they closed my account without any noticed recently and claimed it was legal because it is in their TOS, it's not legal to do that to a vulnerable adult. They did it because I was trying to dispute a charge back that they had failed to dispute with VISA on my behalf some months ago even though I had called in about it multiple times and they re-assured me that they where looking into it when in actual fact they had done nothing. This also constitutes fraud as they deployed their TOS wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain to themselves. But this is no surprise, even when I had a business account with them, when I reported to close it so that I would not run into any fees they failed to do so and I accumulated fee's that they had to strike off because the call of me requesting to call it had been logged. As a customer, they never did anything they said they would, which all ended up costing me money, in the end rather than to accept their incompetency and pay back the charge-back out of their own pockets they decided it would be a better business decision to just terminate the account of a disabled adult so that I could not dispute it. When they forced me, a disabled adult, to go to a branch to findout why I received a barrage of text messages informing me that direct debits had been cancelled they told me that my account had been closed, when I asked about the charge-back I was disputing they said that I could no longer dispute it. When I requested they send me 3 months of historical statements they sent me back incomplete fragments of statements spanning back 7 months basically 4 pages with 11 transactions on each page for a 7 month period... The incompetency is astounding, as a customer they never did anything I requested of them, and my final request that they sent me statements, they could not even do that properly! I was with Santander prior and deeply regret leaving them, but in 2011 Barclays pressured me into closing my account with Santander when I was only looking to open a business account with Barclays. Worst aftercare service experienced.

1
I had a business account which they closed in June 2022. However I'm now trying to get statements from 2021 and requested it electronically and Business Customer Services said for the past two weeks this will be emailed, but today I've been told this is not possible. wasted two weeks and I need to file my account with HMRC. Why can't I access my own information? With all the technology these days why is it so difficult to allow read only access to the account? Terrible aftercare for customers with closed accounts, obviously they can afford to pick and choose their clients. Reviewed on: 20th January 2023
